Karloff was an oddity in ways. He never, I think, felt comfortable with his fame (Contrast him to Bela Lugosi, who always wanted fame but was always upstaged by Karloff). This is an enjoyable and seldom seen side of the man who made Frankenstein's monster in the minds of so many!

Restore!
This is a very historical program,it is a shame that there are so many problems with this film. Drop outs,out of sync, and incomplete. this could be the only moving and speaking on film of Jack P.Pierce the make up genius who created the monsters at Universal Studios. The highlight of the entire show is when Pierce gives Karloff the electrodes he wore in "Frankenstein". I am rating it a two because of the mentioned defects. Remember this is only a half of the show,the full running time is close to 30 minutes.

Karloff - The Gentleman Monster
This is a little gem. Karloff comes across as modest and likeable (and very much of the Victorian age he was born in). He is almost embarrassed by the attention. Okay it doesn't delve that deep into his history but nice to see the man behind the make-up! I had no trouble with the AVI download, played complete and in sync in Power DVD & Winamp.
Could anybody kindly tell me if you can get this and similar ones in the series on DVD?

TWYL
A good program but some problems;
1. It seems to be out of synch (it is similar to watching a bad Japanesse' sci-fi movie
2. It seems to break up in image and sound (hence the out of synch)
3. It's incomplete. The site's viewing is only 14;30 and it stops completely at 14;20 by "frezzeing the image and then going blank.
Conclusion: get a better copy of TIYL or scaping the downloads altogether(problems happen
mention above occur in the other downloads of TIYL)
